Grant Yates

Hi, my name is Grant Yates. I've been with Stratagem Financial Planning for just over two years, and my financial planner is Paul Lindfield.

I set up my own company a few years ago and took on a new accounting firm. My paths crossed with Paul Lindfield, who was the financial advisor within the same company. He offered to go through all the investments I had with a high street bank at the time, and we took it from there.

The problem I had before I switched over to Paul was that all my investments were all with different companies. Paul switched them over to one platform, one company, so that I could view them online easily and see how they were performing on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. The aspiration was to hopefully retire at an earlier age if the investments made a better return than I was currently getting.

I decided to stay with Paul because I trust him implicitly. He's always there for any advice whenever I contact him. He's also helped me out along the way, with my young son’s Junior Stocks and Shares ISA. He's always there whenever required.

Working with Stratagem gives me the confidence that my investments in the background are being well looked after. The working relationship I've had with Paul gives me the confidence that everything has been looked after the way it should be.

The three words I’d use to describe Stratagem Financial Planning would be personal, professional, and trustworthy.

I feel that since I've been working with Stratagem, I do have peace of mind. Everything is being looked after, which is beneficial to my future investments.

The best thing about working with Stratagem and Paul Lindfield is that I've known him over the years, around eight years now. I see him as a friend as well as my financial planner.

The best piece of advice that Paul and Stratagem have given me, probably since the pandemic started in early 2020, was to sit tight on the investments, not to panic, and to be patient. They would come good, which was excellent advice and has come true.

I would and have recommended Stratagem to numerous colleagues and friends. From the start, they have told me Paul’s been off the scale in how he deals with them on a personal basis. So yeah, I've recommended at least half a dozen people and they've got nothing bad to say and all been good.
